the password management tool then, in these cases, when the full-text link is clicked
a message will appear that the document is ‘Available in the Library’.
Example:
-
IIT, Mumbai has a journal J1 included in JCCC@INDEST. J1 is available
online. But IIT, Mumbai does not have online access, and then a message should appear
‘Available in the Library’. This applies to all users of category I institutions
-
Say IIT, Mumbai does not subscribe to a journal J8. But it is
available at 3 Category I institutions, say IIT, Kharagpur; IIT, Chennai & IIT,
Kanpur. Then user at IIT Mumbai should have the provision to obtain the document
from any of the above institutions.
-
Document request for journals consortia subscription type or those
included under IIT, Mumbai, from any of the 23 Category II institutions will come
to IIT, Mumbai only. Please note the journal which is in the IIT, Mumbai list may
be in the list of IIT Kanpur, Even then document delivery request comes to IIT,
Mumbai only.
-
Document delivery request from other journals from Category II institutions will
first go to Category I institution, they are associated with. But if it is not in
the list of Category I .Institutions they are associated with, and there should be
provision for them to request from any of the Category I institutions where it is
available.
Example:
-
Karnataka National Institute of Technology, a Category II Institution
is associated with IISc, Bangalore. User at KNIT wishes to have the full-text of
articles from J8 and from J9. Suppose J8 is available at IISc, Bangalore & IIT,
Chennai. Then the document delivery request goes to IISc with which it is associated.
For Journal J9, the request goes to IIT, Chennai since; it is not available with
IISc with which it is associated.
-
There will be a provision to track the total number of documents
request received from Category I institution from Category I & Category II Institutions
and number of document requests sent from Category I institutions.
